March Kickoff with Talks, Tunes & Art
Things heat up on March 26 with a cozy meet-and-greet with author Zsuffa Tünde at the library, chatting about her novels’ backstories, historical tales of human fates, and how literature links past and present to help us understand ourselves and our world. József Tányér, the library director, hosts the talk. The next day, March 27, rock out at the Crazy Little Queen concert, followed by psychologist Orvos-Tóth Noémi’s lecture “How to Break Inherited Family Patterns?” at Kovács Máté City Cultural Center and Library. March 28 brings a live Junkies concert and a stunning “Florentine Memories” concert by the Kodály Philharmonic featuring Mozart’s A major Clarinet Quintet K.581—a chamber masterpiece inspired by Anton Stadler that highlights the clarinet’s rich tones in elegant, lyrical dialogues—and Tchaikovsky’s D minor “Souvenir de Florence” Op.70 for strings, originally a sextet turned into a passionate drama with energetic finales, now performed in its orchestral version.
