The Bábszíntér Troupe is bringing puppet theater delights back to Kaposvár in 2026, right in Vaszary Park at 7400 Kaposvár, Fő utca 65-67. Kids and families can dive into enchanting performances on Sundays and weekdays, perfect for matinées and school groups. Whether it’s fairy tales or playful adventures, these shows promise giggles and wonder in the heart of this charming Hungarian city.
April 2026 Puppet Lineup
Kick off on Sunday, April 5 at 10:00 with a family matinee: Fiurás Játszó at 10:00 followed by the puppet show Tudja a manó! (Devil Knows It!) from Kovács Judit Színház at 11:00. Then on Sunday, April 19, another family matinee at 10:00 features Fiurás Játszó and Babszem Jankó (Jack and the Beanstalk) by Ziránó Színház at 11:00. Schoolkids get their turn on Monday, April 20 at 14:00 with ticketed Babszem Jankó from Ziránó Színház, repeating on Tuesday, April 21 and Wednesday, April 22 at the same time. For kindergarteners, Monday, April 27 brings two shows of Medvejáték (Bear Play) by Márkus Színház at 09:00 and 11:00, with Tuesday, April 28 doubling up again at those times.
