On March 31 at 7 p.m., Hevesi Sándor Várszínház stages Rokonok (Relatives), a two-act play. This key piece of Hungarian literature skewers society without resorting to mere pamphleteering—it dives into power pitfalls, hidden loves, messy marriages, family blackmail, emotional manipulation, and financial schemes on the road to self-assertion and self-destruction. Young Kopjáss István, a clean-cut guy with empty pockets but big world-saving ideas, gets elected chief prosecutor in Zsarátnok against a corrupt rival.
