The Mátra Arts Days (Mátrai Művészeti Napok) returns June 27–July 5, 2026 as part of the free “Music in the Forest” (Muzsikál az erdő) series, filling the hills with classical and folk concerts, folk dance, hands‑on craft sessions, and kids’ programs across multiple towns and outdoor spots.

When and where

It all opens Saturday, June 27 at Sástó in Gyöngyös, then rolls on Sunday, June 28 to Gyöngyöspata. Monday, June 29 lands in Mátraszentimre, and Tuesday, June 30 sets up at Mátraverebély–Szentkút, the National Shrine. After a midweek pause, Thursday, July 2 unfolds in the garden of the Mátra Museum in Gyöngyös, before Friday, July 3 brings the vibe to Szurdokpüspöki. Saturday, July 4 heads to Salgótarján–Eresztvény, and Sunday, July 5 closes the run at Tar–Fenyvespuszta.

What to expect
