This spot boasts the world’s third-largest maze, a whopping 3.5 km of hedge walls shaping the legendary Miraculous Stag (Csodaszarvas)—you can even spot it from satellites! Little ones will love the custom sand factory and folk games, older kids will get hooked on Hungary’s only logic carpet mazes, and everyone can dive into the hedge maze loaded with tricky questions. It’s pure fun for all ages in the heart of the puszta.
April Kickoff: Chainsaw Action and Easter Fun
Kick off on Saturday, April 4, 2026, with STIHL Timbersports and Chainsaw Master Day during the Easter long weekend. Watch champs slice through wood up close for free—cheer the roaring blades and sawdust flying! Want in? Pay for the exclusive master class and carve your own chainsaw statue under a pro’s guidance. That same day, hit the Fairy Tale Path (Meseösvény) and Night Maze, where you’ll navigate the massive labyrinth by starlight alone as the world transforms in the dark. Easter in the Maze runs April 4-6, fully open for families, explorers, and nature lovers to wander hidden paths amid spring vibes in the heart of the puszta.
May-June: Picnics, Paths, and Fire Jumps
May 2 brings the Night Maze under the stars. On May 16, join Simply a Puszta Picnic (Pusztán egy piknik) for a chill day together in Ópusztaszer. May 24 repeats the starry Night Maze. June 27 amps it up with Night Maze plus Fire Jump (Tűzugrás) for extra excitement.
Summer Nights and State Holiday Magic
July 11 and August 8 deliver more Night Maze adventures lit by the stars. August 20 spotlights the Fairy Tale Path (Meseösvény).
Fall Chills: Pumpkins and Halloween
September 12 revives Simply a Puszta Picnic (Pusztán egy piknik). October 24 pairs Night Maze with Pumpkin Carving (Tökfaragás). Halloween on October 31 cranks up the scares: Halloween Pumpkin Carving and Night Maze (Halloween-i Tökfaragás és Éjszakai Labirintus)—carve the creepiest pumpkin then brave the dark paths if you’re gutsy enough!
