March Madness
Kick off the year on March 19 at KÖFÉM Művelődési Ház with Szeretetkert in the cozy Szeretetkert venue, tickets from $19 to $21. On March 24, catch Kormos Anett’s hilarious stand-up A nőknek nincs humora (Women Have No Sense of Humor) at the same spot, tickets from $19 to $24. The next day, March 25, laugh out loud at the comedy Hogyan nevezzelek? (How Shall I Call You?) from Veres 1 Színház at Vörösmarty Színház. From March 26 to 28, high school and upper-grade elementary students take over with Fehérvári Diáknapok, the city’s biggest youth bash where art-loving kids showcase their talents to peers and crowds. Wrap up the month on March 28 with Ráskó Eszter’s fresh solo show hosted by Fülöp Viktor at Dumaszínház in Alba Regia Sportcsarnok.
April Adventures
Easter fun explodes on April 4 with the Húsvéti Tojáskereső Verseny (Easter Egg Hunt Competition), inviting kids aged 2-12 to hunt nearly 10,000 candy-filled plastic eggs divided into age groups: 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12. April 27 features Tvrtko’s exclusive Csernobil 40 gig at Sóstói Stadion rendezvényközpont. End the month with Bolondballagás on April 28, a beloved decades-old tradition where graduating high schoolers party in costumes with parades, class intros, and music before finals—pure unforgettable memories.

May 1 doubles up: Sportmajális 2026 starts with a massive parade from Petőfi Statue uniting thousands of athletes and fans, followed by demos and workouts from 10 a.m. at Bregyó közi Regionális Atlétikai Központ—pros train alongside eager newbies, marking the 15th edition by Székesfehérvári Közösségi és Kulturális Központ. Same day, Öko Majális a Sóstón at Sóstó Látogatóközpont offers crafts, top-notch stalls, animal shows, family storytelling, and an eco playground. From May 2-3, time-travel to Floralia – Tavaszköszöntő ünnep (Spring Greeting Festival), as rich as the ancient consecration of Flora’s temple, starring the emperor’s grand entrance, gladiator games, markets, and ancient theater. May 8 rocks with Mamma Mia! at MET Aréna ($27 to $68) and Ennio Morricone filmzenéje gyertyafénynél! (Ennio Morricone Film Scores by Candlelight!) at KÖFÉM Művelődési Ház. Foodies flock to XI. Fehérvári Halünnep (Fehérvár Fish Festival) on May 9 at Palotavárosi lakes for cooking contests, stage shows, and family fun. That day also hosts Emlékhelyek napja (Day of Memorial Sites) at Középkori Romkert – Nemzeti Emlékhely and Koronázó Bazilika Nemzeti Emlékhely Látogatóközpont, featuring reenactments, kid-friendly quizzes and crafts, family workshops, and expert talks for all ages. May 21 delivers Szemenszedett Igazság, avagy hazudni tudni kell! (Patchwork Truth, or One Must Know How to Lie!) at KÖFÉM Művelődési Ház, $15 to $16. Pünkösdi Virágálom (Pentecost Floral Dream) from May 22-25 sees master florists deck out Városház tér in colorful splendor. FEZEN Fesztivál blasts off June 19-21. On June 20, XXII. Tűzzel-vassal Fesztivál (Fire and Sword Festival) ignites Rác utca with bladesmiths, knifemakers, and armorers from across Hungary reviving ancient crafts amid Skanzen’s preserved houses, turning every corner fiery hot.
