March Highlights
Kick off on March 26 with a chill book launch for Szegedi Ágnes’s Éppen ráértem (Just Had Time) at 5 p.m. in Eötvös Károly Library’s Kisfaludy Hall, hosted by Sz. Csordás Éva of TIT Váci Mihály Literary Stage. Right before, from 4:30-5:30 p.m., join the Conversation Club at American Corner in the same library—free for high schoolers and up, chatting about monuments to sharpen English skills for exams or work. March 27 brings Lord of the Dance‘s 30th anniversary tour to Veszprém Arena, plus a family Easter craft afternoon (MESEFORGÓ: tales, games, crafts) from 4-6 p.m. at Március 15. úti Branch Library. On March 28, catch the ancient French mystery play Ádám-játék or join Nemes Éva for Easter crafts 10 a.m.-noon at the library’s kids’ section, presented by Éva Műhelye. Palm Sunday features a live passion play on the 29th. Guided castle walks run at 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. those days.
April Adventures
April 2 offers spring break playhouse events at Agóra Veszprém Cultural Center, Táborállás park 1. Theater fans can see the Szép nyári nap (A Beautiful Summer Day) Neoton musical by Veres 1 Theater at Hangvilla on April 10. The 9th Lélektől Lélekig Színház Gyógyító Ereje Fesztivál (Soul-to-Soul Theater Healing Power Festival) spans April 15-19. Photo buffs note AZ ÉV FOTÓI 2025 (Photos of the Year 2025) by Bakony Photo Club opening April 16 at 5 p.m. at Dózsavárosi Branch Library (Szent István út 73.), with Mátyus Károly (club head, MAFOSZ VP) speaking and local schoolkids performing—viewable until May 22 during library hours. April 17 at 4:30 p.m., Dr. Csicsor János, chemical engineer, lectures on “From Soil to Table: Nature and Human Harmony” there, free and approachable. Unwind at Silent Book Club April 24, 4-6 p.m. at the library’s ZUGA—no forced reads, optional shares, perfect for introverts. Architecture fans hit Építészet Ünnepe és Éjszakája (Festival and Night of Architecture) April 25-26. Guided castle walks continue: daily at 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. April 3-12 and 18-19; April 25 at 4 p.m.; April 26 at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Guided city tour with Easter egg hunt on April 5.
