Budapest’s Zsilip Center, a two-level playhouse packed with learning rooms at 1 Újpesti Embankment (Újpesti rakpart 1, District 13, 1137), is rolling out a warm, hands-on lineup for families who want to learn and play their way into Jewish traditions. The Zsiliputi programs blend games, storytelling, and values with a lively community vibe—so the kids explore, the parents relax, and everyone takes home a little more Shabbat spirit.

Friday Evenings: Péntekecske
Péntekecske—a playful nod to Friday—turns the Zsiliputi playhouse into a mini Shabbat welcome for children, while grown-ups head to the synagogue for teaching with Rabbi Glitzi (Glitzi rabbi). Kids spend time with a madricha in game-led sessions about the weekly Torah portion, Shabbat, and current holidays. Visuals, activities, and friendly guidance keep it vivid and accessible for a range of ages. Paying attention pays off: there are small prizes and a raffle, too. The call to action is simple: bring the whole family, and let everyone learn on Shabbat.
This Friday format repeats across the spring: 2026.04.24., 2026.05.01., and 2026.05.08., each in Budapest at the Zsilip Center, with the same family-friendly flow—parents get their dose of learning with Rabbi Glitzi, kids dive into discovery with the madricha.
Sunday Mornings: Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School
The Sunday rhythm is back, refreshed and ready. Now reimagined in the two-level Zsilip Center with an array of study rooms, the school runs 10:00–12:30 and welcomes ages 4 to 14, including preteens and teens.
