Visit the 13th Gyulavári Castle Days in Gyula on June 13–14, 2026, at 71 Széchenyi St. Two lively days fill the Gyulavári Castle park with a cooking showdown, carriage-driving championships, five-a-side football, a funfair, dance and music showcases, big-name concerts, retro disco nights, and a Sunday-night fireworks finale. It’s free and family-friendly, with stalls and fairground buzz both days.
Saturday Highlights
Festivities start at 7:00 with a cooking contest sponsored by SAVAD Kft. on the Castle Garden promenade, split into venison dishes and other foods. From 9:00–16:00, the Arató Lajos Football Field hosts a regional and county carriage-driving round: Obstacle Driving I at 9:00, lunch at 12:00 alongside a 12:00–13:00 kids’ skills demo, Obstacle Driving II at 13:00, results at 16:00. Give blood 9:00–11:00 in the Castle’s Hymn Hall, visit the dog adoption day 10:00–12:00 in the park, and stop by the Health Tent 9:00–12:00 for free screenings and quizzes.
On stage from 14:30: opening with Mayor Ernő Görgényi and cooking results; Bay Zoltán School program 15:15; Energy Dance Cool 15:45; 60+ Senior Dance 16:15; Dancing Amazons 16:45; pole sport by Zsuzsa Tövishát (Fit Pole) 17:15; Chained 17:45. At 21:00, Sheyla Bonnick presents Songs of Boney M, then a retro disco at 22:00 with DJ Ravasz and DJ Széplaki.
Sunday Lineup
The five-a-side Falkell Cup runs 8:00–14:00. From 16:00–19:00, the Életkapu Perinatal Foundation (Életkapu Perinatális Alapítvány) hosts Family Circle on site.
