The Mission
This house lets violins, flutes, and cellos whisper through its columns; fugues chase arias; Beethoven, Chopin, and Mussorgsky would feel at home. Some nights it’s a sanctuary for music; others, it’s pure, unbuttoned laughter. The Dumaszínház rubs shoulders with Radnóti; Pál Mácsai with Anett Kormos; film scores one evening, operetta hits the next; poetry between chair rows; bold new stagings; experts probing hard questions; light-hearted art dates; auteur films and family comedies, with a projectionist everyone knows by name. The former Béke cinema is now a defining cultural hub for Miskolc and the region—built by diligent staff and the audience’s love. Artists once seen only in the capital now feel at home here. The House of Arts creates and shares value for every generation—variety, professionalism, humility—together with you.
