Interactive Experiences at the Tropicarium
Want to see a sand tiger shark devour its lunch or peek at snakes’ quirky eating habits? At the Tropicarium, you can! During these feedings, you don’t just watch – you can participate in some to get even closer to the wild. In the rainforest section, grab fish food from the vending machine and feed the colorful koi carp swimming right by the alligators – pure excitement. Guided tours let experts show you piranhas in action, plus opportunities to feed rays, monkeys, and birds under their supervision.
Feeding Schedules
Monday: 14:00 snakes; 14:30 alligators (every third Monday of the month).
Tuesday: –
Wednesday: 14:00 monitor lizard (temporarily suspended).
Thursday: 14:30 shark feeding.
Friday: 15:30 tamarin visual feeding.
Monkey feeding: usually 11:30-12:00 and in the afternoons 15:30-16:00.

Exotic Animals and Must-See Sights
The Tropicarium – the Shark Zoo – welcomes crowds year-round with creatures from around the world: lazy alligators, exotic reptiles, amphibians, tiny monkeys, free-flying birds, thousands of colorful fish, and ocean heavyweights like sharks. The ray petting pool lets everyone stroke and, with keepers’ help, feed these majestic sea creatures. A 12-meter underwater viewing tunnel puts sand tiger and brown sharks within arm’s reach. Thursdays at 2:30 pm, divers hand-feed the predators in a stunning show. In the rainforest, tropical rain pours every 15 minutes over the alligators.
