Spring Openings and Heritage Days
May 6 brings the opening of Élettánc, a temporary exhibition by Ferenc Czakó. Szilvia Halászné Kapcsándi, deputy collection director and museum head, will give the welcome, and the show will be opened by Pál Oberfrank, head of the Veszprém Regional Working Group of the Hungarian Academy of Arts. Ferenc Czakó will close the event with a creator’s guided tour in the temporary gallery. May also features Memorial Sites Day on the 9th and an Ascension Day open house on the 14th.
Summer Nights, Music, and Camps
Organist Gergely Rákász performs on June 5, followed by the nationwide Night of Museums (Múzeumok éjszakája) on June 20. Kids can dive into history with weeklong camps: Tracing the Ancient Egyptians for ages 10–15 (June 29–July 3), a Folk Creative Workshop craft camp (July 6–10), and In Hori’s Footsteps for ages 7–9 (July 20–24). August 20 invites a festive state holiday museum visit.
Autumn to Advent
September 12 marks the Ars Sacra Festival’s Open Churches Day. Advent warms up with PRaktika wreath‑making (Nov 21), Advent evangelization (Nov 25–27), gingerbread baking (Nov 28), and four artisan markets: Nov 28–29, Dec 5–6, Dec 12–13, and Dec 19–20.
