The Babits Mihály Cultural Center, Szekszárd’s largest arts and community venue at 10 Szent István Square, rolls into 2026 with a stacked slate: exhibitions, an open university series, concerts, family programs, and a hands-on playhouse. Its halls buzz with clubs and art groups, while the Agora Cinema (Agóra Mozi) and the House of Arts round out the campus vibe.
June Highlights
June 6 kicks off with the PTE IGY Practice School and Kindergarten Dance Department’s concert exam. June 9 brings James Fritz’s 4:12. On June 10 and 11, Topolcsányi Laura and Maráth Viktor’s Pocahontas lands for three runs: Primary Subscription, 4th show; Primary Plus Subscription, 4th show; and Kindergarten Subscription, 4th show. June 13: Apostol live. June 23: Husbands in Trouble, a French comedy in two acts.
Autumn to Winter
September 7 features pianists Endre Hegedűs and Katalin Hegedűs. November 6: Gergely Rákász plays Mozart. November 24: a film music concert. And on January 23, 2027: László Dés, Péter Geszti, and Krisztián Grecsó present The Paul Street Boys (A Pál utcai fiúk), based on Ferenc Molnár’s classic.
