The city and its surroundings brim with sightseeing, hiking, and easy weekend escapes, while locals and visitors bounce between museum nights, marketplaces, and marquee shows.
June: Markets, Museum Night, EgerszegFest
June 6 starts with the Baby-Mama Flea Market at the János Apáczai Csere Cultural Center. On June 7, the Göcsej Szegek Folk Dance Ensemble marks its 5th gala, Hungary Without Borders… at the Sándor Hevesi Theatre. Museum Night lights up the city on June 13, alongside Hello Summer! Lights, Flavors, Experiences; Mustra Gastro Market; and Night at the Mindszentyneum. EgerszegFest takes over June 19–21, joined by the city walk EGERSZEG WITH DIFFERENT EYES on June 20. The Kvártélyház opens its summer stage on June 29 with Cukorbaba (about $13.70), then Felicián Kalmus’s LimonCello – Garden Party on June 30 (about $21.90).
July: Comedy, Classics, Folk Art
