March 28 spotlights Frédéric Chopin: Tizenhét lengyel dal – magyar nyelven (Seventeen Polish Songs – in Hungarian). Sung by Takács Lilla from Hungarian State Opera; piano by Cs. Nagy Ildikó. The cycle features Chopin’s Polish poetry songs; lyrics versified by Varga-Bíró Tamás and Takács Lilla. 2024 album released with Wacław Felczak Foundation backing. Tickets $8. April 28’s Építsünk kapcsolatot a harmonika hangján (Building Connections on Accordion Sounds) links our music school to Denmark’s Danish National Academy of Music. Star accordion master student Szokolai Gergely and cellist Ksymena Slusarczyk deliver rare classical accordion – worlds away from what you know, uplifting and fresh. Free and open. May 7, storyteller Berecz András rocks Fel a medvére, a fa nem játék! (Up the Bear, Tree Ain’t Toy!). Doors 6pm, show 6:30pm. May 15’s Választásaim?
