The cultural house maintains its regular class schedule during school breaks: March 23–27, March 30–April 3, April 6–10, April 13–17, April 20–24, April 27–May 1, May 4–8, May 11–15, May 18–22, and May 25–29. These sessions keep locals engaged with ongoing workshops and activities.
Easter Playhouse Fun – March 28
On March 28, the cultural house hosts Húsvéti Játszóház (Easter Playhouse), bursting with joy for kids and adults alike. Dive into dance demos, hands-on crafts, glitter tattoos, a balloon clown, and plenty of surprises for an exciting day out.
Chopin’s Polish Songs in Hungarian – March 28
That same day, catch Frédéric Chopin’s Tizenhét lengyel dal – magyar nyelven (Seventeen Polish Songs – in Hungarian). Soprano Takács Lilla from the Hungarian State Opera sings, with pianist Cs. Nagy Ildikó accompanying. This cycle features Chopin’s songs on Polish poems, with lyrics translated into verse by Varga-Bíró Tamás and Takács Lilla. A 2024 album of these Hungarian versions was released, backed by the Wacław Felczak Foundation. Tickets are $8 USD.

“Épitsünk kapcsolatot a harmonika hangján” (Build Connections on Accordion Sounds) on April 28 links Dunaharaszti’s music school with Denmark’s Danish National Academy of Music. Master student Szokolai Gergely (accordion) teams up with Ksymena Slusarczyk (cello master). Rare classical accordion tunes whisk you to new worlds – uplifting, and free for all!
