Every Wednesday at 9:15 a.m., the Gábor Lipták City Library (Lipták Gábor Városi Könyvtár) in Balatonfüred turns into a small, joyful concert hall for the tiniest music lovers. Led by certified Ringató session leader Rita Rábaközi, the gatherings welcome babies and toddlers ages 0–3, together with moms, dads, and grandparents, for shared singing, playful movement, and plenty of instruments and laughter. Enter through the small gate on the left, then use the side terrace door. Venue: 8230 Balatonfüred, 35 Kossuth Lajos St. (Kossuth Lajos u. 35.)
Why Ringató Works
Lap games and cuddly, in-arms play help build a stable parent–child bond, and the little ones meet their own musical mother tongue early on. They’re surrounded by a rich, high-quality repertoire, live singing, and hands-on instrument fun. They experience their first community moments alongside their mother, and while they sway, clap, and babble, their musical abilities bloom. That growth spills over: emotional intelligence, memory, attention, imagination, creativity, speech, and motor development all get a lift. Parents get in on the joy too—shared singing feels good, strengthens connection, and sends families home with something that lasts a lifetime: a love of music.
