A lakeside summer built for music lovers returns August 26–30, 2026, as the seventh Boglart Festival takes over Babel Camp in Balatonboglár, 28 Szabadság Street (Szabadság utca 28). It’s part folk and world music festival, part intensive course, part music-industry forum, and a showcase. Days are for learning; nights unfold across two stages before the folk pub (folkkocsma) keeps dancers going till dawn.
Festival Vibe
Boglart blends a creative camp with a festival crowd: workshops by day, concerts and táncház by night. It’s not just a string of gigs, but an inspiring space where learning, music, and the Balaton summer fall into harmony—standing out on both the Hungarian and international calendars with its rare mix of camp energy and festival buzz.
Lineup and Workshops
Freshly announced acts include Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, and from Hungary, Okos Viola, Obadu, plus festival hosts Góbé. True to Boglart’s style, many performers teach by day, from Moldavian and string folk techniques to music-business know‑how. Concert evenings flow into táncház, then a world‑music‑meets‑electronic afterglow.
Showcase and Industry
After last year’s warm reception, the showcase block returns, giving Hungarian and international professionals a place to meet and swap ideas. The first performers drop in the second half of November, and until then passes are on sale at very low prices: festival passes, combined passes, 48‑hour tickets, and day tickets.
Tickets and Discounts
Discounted passes/tickets are available for under‑18s, over‑64s, and teachers. If you’re also joining the course or showcase and you qualify for discounts, combine your discounted festival pass/day ticket with a course pass/day ticket. Entry is free for children under 10.
