Sunday, May 10, 2026, the national Animal and Flea Market comes to Dabas at 2370 Dabas, Vásártér St. 4 (Vásártér u. 4.), bringing back that old-school bazaar buzz. Beyond livestock, there’s a chance to pick up pets, too, while a small army of vendors sets up from dawn with racks of clothes, furniture finds, antiques, gifts, toys, and a jungle of plants. Expect bargaining, browsing, and plenty of food stands so no one hunts for deals on an empty stomach.
Monthly Dates All Year
The market pops up on the second Sunday of each month in 2026:
– Jan 11, Feb 8, Mar 8, Apr 12, May 10, Jun 14, Jul 12, Aug 9, Sep 13, Oct 11, Nov 8, Dec 13. Organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs. New photo sets (12) document the scene at the Vásártér grounds.
What You’ll Find
It’s a proper sprawl of apparel, home goods, vintage pieces, collectors’ curios, playful toys, and garden-ready greenery. Between haggling rounds, hit the food stalls for hot, hearty bites and sweet treats. The vibe is open-air, energetic, and neighborly—exactly what a Hungarian market day should feel like.
Rules, Sellers, and Paperwork
Any animal may enter the market if it arrives from a disease-free location with valid veterinary certification. Bringing dogs or horses onto the grounds to sell is prohibited. Selling counts as a taxable activity—set up only after obtaining a tax ID. Need admin help?
