Step into living history on the Danube: every Saturday in 2026 at noon, Visegrád’s legendary Knights’ Games take over Salamon Tower, then roll into a royal feast at the Renaissance Restaurant. Book early to grab a spot at one of the Danube Bend’s most exciting family outings—available all autumn, too. Venue: 2025 Visegrád, Duna-parti Road (Duna-parti út) 1. Registration and payment are handled at the Renaissance Restaurant (email sign-up required). Organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs.
Where chivalry meets showtime
Members of the Order of Saint George stage a full-blooded 14th-century tournament, showing how warriors fought for the favor of the king and queen. At the start, the knights crown a king and a queen from the audience and cloak them in royal robes. On the king’s command, the knights march in and prove their aim and dueling skills with authentic medieval weapons—equal parts daring, realism, and occasional humor. A royal hunting hawk takes flight to spice up the spectacle. At the end, guests can try the weapons under knightly guidance. The show runs in Hungarian, German, English, and Italian; other languages with an interpreter. Groups of 30 or more can book custom times.
