A new Wednesday ritual is set to light up Óbuda’s afternoons. KiddieTime at the Óbuda Synagogue (Óbudai Zsinagóga) turns community spaces into a playful hub for 3–10-year-olds and their parents, mixing music, learning, games, and movement to bring Jewish traditions to life. Sessions run 4:30–6:00 p.m. at 1036 Budapest, District 3 – Óbuda, 163 Lajos Street (Lajos utca 163).
Sing, Learn, Move
Each workshop unfolds in three acts. First comes a family music circle where kids and parents dive into Hebrew songs, prayers, and holiday melodies. Then the weekly Torah portion is reimagined through drama education—guided by a drama teacher, children explore stories with role-play, games, and hands-on creation. The finale shifts to movement with a Krav Maga class led by a coach with experience in Israel, designed not just to build physical skills but to boost confidence, discipline, and community spirit.
Who’s Behind It
KiddieTime is led by Zsuzsa Szilánk, EMIH’s head of education; programs are coordinated by Miri Radó, with Jewish content curated by Petra Nagy. Participation is free but requires registration.
