From July 13–17, there’s Fotótábor for 8–15-year-olds, a photography camp that nurtures young eyes and storytelling instincts. Expect hands-on learning and plenty of fresh air. The Dalma Danca Club’s Tánctábor follows July 20–24, a summer dance camp packed with rhythm, technique, and new friendships.
Rounding out the kids’ programming is Értéklabor, a day camp for 7–10-year-olds, July 27–31, focused on discovery, values, and playful learning. On July 30, Életmódváltók klubja meets—an open-invite lifestyle changers’ club for anyone resetting habits or seeking support. Stay by the Lake: Unique Lodgings
The Lake Tisza (Tisza-tó) region doubles as a serene escape. Kormorán Kikötő offers six types of stays—on land, on water, and up in the trees. Think floating houses, stilt houses, and over-water huts, plus leafy hideaways in the canopy. It’s quiet, off-grid vibes, with nature always close.
The Tisza Balneum Hotel puts modern comfort right on the waterfront—a top pick for romantic weekends, family downtime, or business events and conferences. Its stilted, two-level apartment houses deliver spacious suites with direct lake panoramas, perfect for large families or small groups. Book a lakeside suite to dial up the premium factor.
Across from the Tiszafüred beach and thermal spa, Dieter’s Camping sits just 164 feet from the lake, a small family-run spot known for loyal regulars. Expect a refreshed kitchen and stricter cleaning and disinfection standards. The Albatrosz Marina, one of the city’s major boat harbors, spreads across a 2,000 m² camping area with its own beach section, watersports rentals, a restaurant, and shopping; the city center and thermal spa are just minutes away.
Diófa Apartmanok brings you close to the water and near the city center, tucked into a quiet green zone for families and friends. For a calm, self-catered base, a guesthouse set one kilometer from the water hosts up to 15 across three separate apartments. Fully equipped, child-friendly, and wrapped in a landscaped, fruit-treed yard, it’s built for easygoing stays.
If being next to the thermal beach matters, a cluster of fully equipped one- to one-and-a-half-room apartments sits about 164 feet from the thermal waters. Each has its own bathroom with shower and WC, air conditioning, microwave, fridge, and TV, with indoor and outdoor cooking spots inside a gated, landscaped yard and on-site parking. Within 1,640 feet, you’ll find three supermarkets and three restaurants; wellness is 492 feet away; the wilder shores of Lake Tisza (Tisza-tó) are a five-minute stroll.
Fekete Gólya Porta preserves regional architectural traditions with two houses separated—or connected, as needed—by a covered communal space. It’s one of the few remaining tributes to the area’s classic peasant houses. For a wider countryside embrace, Kócsújfalu, a tiny 160-person settlement nestled in nature, hosts the Kemencés Ház and Szomszéd Ház under the Gólyavár-porta umbrella. Set midway between Tiszafüred and Hortobágy at the gate to Hortobágy National Park (Hortobágyi Nemzeti Park), you’re 15 minutes by car from the lake one way and the iconic Nine-Arch Bridge the other, surrounded by plains rich in wildlife and storks.
Eat, Sip, Repeat
Platán Étterem pairs international and regional flavors with a lakeside view. In summer, its terrace and grill terrace become front-row seats to the Lake Tisza (Tisza-tó) sunset. For variety year-round, Molnár Vendéglő Füzes Panzió in the city known as the capital of Lake Tisza (Tisza-tó) plates both Hungarian and international specialties daily.
Craving homestyle? A central spot serves local-style dishes and budget-friendly menus in the heart of town. NOPARA GyógySERtár brews, pours, feeds, and hosts—brewery, pub, restaurant, and apartments all in one, with free Wi-Fi and daily à la carte breakfast for apartment guests.
Öreg Halász keeps traditions alive with polite service and a roster of Tisza-region favorites, offering house recipes all week. And just outside Tiszafüred, eight kilometers along Route 33 at the western gate of Hortobágy National Park (Hortobágyi Nemzeti Park), a roadside restaurant with a covered garden leans into Hungarian and regional classics, big portions, friendly vibes, and rooms for those who want a quiet, clean, orderly place to stay.
