Balatonfüred is packing the calendar with festivals, concerts, comedy marathons, art shows, sailing, sunset party boats, and family days across multiple venues all summer long—and well into autumn. Tickets for many programs are available online, and plenty of events are free with registration. Here’s everything lined up so you don’t miss a beat on the Balaton shore.
June Highlights: Jazz, Books, Family, and Boats
Start with the Balázs Elemér Group at Parker Jazz Club on June 11. The next day, June 12 at 18:00, the House of Jewish Excellence hosts Living With Our Eminences with guest Mihály Pósfai, professor at the University of Pannonia, academic, and geological researcher. June 12–13 brings the Book-Wine-Jazz Festival (Könyv-Bor-Jazz), a laid-back blend of literature, wine, and live jazz across Balatonfüred.
Daily lake time is a given: sightseeing cruises run June 8–12 and return June 13–14, June 15–18, June 19–21, June 22–25, June 26–28—and keep going all summer. The local cinema program runs weekly June 8–14 and June 15–21, then every week after.
June 13 stacks the schedule: the 6th From Alpha to Omega Family Picnic at Gapa Terrace and the Park Forest in Balatonfüred (free but requires registration; Száka-dűlő, 8230 Balatonfüred), An Evening with Gabriella Jakupcsek at Anna Grand Hotel (free entry, table reservation advised), and a Literary Fashion Salon with author Virág Vass at the Katti Zoób Fashion Museum at 17:00.
June 13–14 also brings Pole Artistic Hungary, a spectacular international pole dance and aerial acrobatics competition—pole art, glamour, hoop, and hammock categories, high artistry, strength, and elegance on one stage where gravity is just a detail.
Exhibitions, Choirs, and Midsummer Nights
June 18 welcomes summer with a joint concert by the Bem Memorial Choir, Gabriella Csikhon, and Attila Sári. On June 19 at 17:00, head to Arács Community House (Arácsi Népház) (Balatonfüred, Lóczy Lajos St. 62) for the opening of graphic artist Milán Takács’s exhibition, From Matter to Light, introduced by museum educator Orsolya Nyitrai with music by Holb Levente “Zsörk” (electronic, folktronica–downtempo). Expect paper-based but digitally created collages, experimental images, design works (posters, logos), and analog photos. Viewable until August 24 during opening hours (Mon, Thu 10:00–16:00; Wed 12:00–16:00).
June 20 turns into a Balaton classic: a Chill Boat sails at sunset with panoramic views, music, and cocktails, the Night of Museums lights up venues, and the Balatonfüred International Guitar Festival runs June 20–27. Comedy rolls in at the Balaton Leisure and Conference Center with András Péter Kovács and Eszter Ráskó the same evening, tickets about $26.
July: Salsa, Stage, and Nonstop Stand-Up
Cruise weeks continue July 6–12 and July 13–19, with the Hungarian Summer Salsa Festival July 7–13 and disco party boats launching from the port July 9 and 16. The first International Klezmer Festival runs July 10–12. More Chill Boats sail July 11 and 18.
Sports fans: the Allianz Bay Crossing and SUP Challenge splashes down July 11. On stage, the comedy juggernaut Dumafüred 2026 runs July 17–26, headlined by KAP, Hadházi, Kőhalmi, Ráskó, Litkai, Ádám Kiss, Mogács, Musimbe, and more. Expect Duma Jam nights (July 17, 24), solo hours like Eszter Ráskó’s Sátántangó (July 20), Hadházi’s The Wisdom of the World (July 20, 26), KAP’s In Time (July 19, 26), Ádám Kiss’s What I Won’t Say! (July 24), and star-packed All Stars lineups July 18 and 25, with tickets typically $22–$31.
Theater fans get Hyppolit, the Butler, a musical comedy in two acts, at the outdoor stage July 14 (from about $16). Flutist Eszter Horgas celebrates with the birthday concert I Would Fly With You! on July 19 at the Anna Grand Hotel Theater Hall (from about $11).
Don’t miss the 201st Anna Ball on July 25, the elegant heart of Balatonfüred’s summer, alongside the White Ribbon – Szabolcs Izsák Memorial Regatta (Fehér Szalag – Szabolcs Izsák Emlékverseny) the same day. A Chill Boat sails that evening, too. A guided city walk with an authentic host—the Rabbi of Füred—includes a synagogue tour and a visit to the House of Jewish Excellence on July 18, and July 27 appears elsewhere across the summer.
Sailing Royalty and Open-Air Music in August
The Raiffeisen Blue Ribbon Grand Prix (Kékszalag) 58th edition unfolds July 30–August 1—Hungary’s legendary Lake Balaton circumnavigation for big boats—followed by the Hungarian Sailing Federation’s Big-Boat Championship August 6–9. Party boats keep launching August 6 and 13, while Chill Boats glide August 1, 8, and 15.
Culture keeps rolling: the cinema program remains weekly; lake cruises run August 3–9, 10–16, and 17–23. Pannon Castle Theatre (Pannon Várszínház) brings The Jungle Book to the outdoor stage August 11 (from about $23), and The Wife Begins at Forty lands August 12 (about $24–$30). Gergely Rákász plays MOZART at the Lutheran Church on July 1 (about $16).
From August 7–30, Balatonfüred Wine Weeks pour the region’s best at stands along the Tagore Promenade—balmy nights, live music, and local flavors. Big open-air shows hit the Balaton Leisure and Conference Center: Crazy Little Queen Tribute Band on August 14 ($27–$33) and Attila Kökény & Viktor Rakonczai’s I See You Again… on August 15 (about $46).
Active Days and Side Trips
All summer long, look for sailing trips (Vitorlástúra), kayak experience tours, and SUP yoga sessions, with dates scattered across June, July, and August. Guided Túrajó walks like From Tree to Forest and the Füred Wheel Adventure pop up July 4 (both around $11). Nightlife gets a boost with recurring disco party boats from the main pier. Nearby, the Kőröshegy Wine and Gastro Picnic on June 20 is a tasty off-lake detour.
Into Autumn and 2027 Teasers
The summer energy tapers into September with more sailing tours and weekend programs, plus a mid-September multi-day highlight. Regional picks run year-round across Veszprém County, and the 2027 slate is already budding—February 13 is penciled in. As always, organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs, so check ahead and book tables or tickets where needed.
