Kistarcsa’s Cultural Association rolls out a full year of programs at the Basic Services Center (Alapszolgáltatási Központ), 2143, 2/A Batthyány St., mixing local history, travelogues, astronomy, culinary craft, and community remembrance. The aim: boost community spirit, support self-organizing groups in Kistarcsa and nearby towns, and offer something meaningful for every age group.

June Highlights: Memory and Meaning

June 4, 2026 — László Nagy: Trianon Events. On June 4, 1920, at the Grand Trianon in Versailles, the treaty cut historical Hungary by roughly two-thirds. Peace had to be settled with Czechoslovak, Serbian, and Romanian forces occupying Upper Hungary, Transylvania, and the Southern Lands.
June 5 — Commemoration of Miklós Király. Miklós, son of Andor Király, director of Kistarcsa’s Machine and Railway Equipment Factory, died in a motorcycle accident in Mátyásföld on June 4, 1926. The centenary is marked with wreath-laying and the family’s story.
June 11 — Erzsébet Pancsor: Blue Trail. No age limit, no rush: once you stamp the first box, it’s a lifelong journey. It’s not extreme; anyone can complete it with basic gear, savoring view-filled sections along the way.
June 18 — Ildikó Obsitos: Wine Jam. Enjoy wine’s aroma and flavor without alcohol. Ideal for those who don’t drink and for wine lovers who want it in food. Prepared like classic jam—but from wine, not fruit.
June 20–21 — Exhibition of Kistarcsa’s Artisans. Local makers showcase craft and technique across two days.
June 25 — Ágnes Kóczián: The Many Faces of Peru. A three-week travelogue across South America’s third-largest country, from Inca heritage to the Amazon jungle: Lima – Cusco – Iquitos.

July: Skies, Baltic Notes, Speed, Belief

July 2 — István Fábián: Photos from the Sky. The night sky hides wonders revealed via telescope and multi-night astrophotography; the images and methods go on display.
July 9 — Ildikó Császár and Mrs. Sándor Molnár: We Visited Latvia. A Sunday flight to the Baltic nation, stays in Riga, and meetings with child-focused organizations in Ādaži, Sigulda, and Riga.
July 16 — Zsolt Kiss: Building a Race Car. From a Kistarcsa company that repairs damaged cars to transforming a Suzuki S-Cross for rallying under the Hungarian Motorsport Federation—plus how rallies work elsewhere.
July 23 — Péter Gedeon: Spellbound by Religions. The big five—Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Chinese universalism—shared threads behind disagreements, ancient origins, local congregations, and nature-rooted faiths.
July 30 — Aladár Lányi: Hungarian Buses in America. Ikarus after WWII, its export triumphs and American debut, fate after the regime change, the NABI era, composite buses, and today’s bus manufacturing status.
