Siófok turns every summer day into a choose-your-own-adventure on the south shore of Lake Balaton, with festivals, concerts from jazz to techno, open-air theater, city games, kids’ crafts, organ evenings, boat parties, and guided walks. From June 22 through August 19, multiple venues across the 8600 Siófok area serve up culture, fun, and a whole lot of lakeside magic.

Hands-on fun and family days

Every Monday and Thursday, the library’s children’s terrace hosts free “Summer Handi-Miracles” craft sessions, 10:00–12:00 and 15:00–17:00. Story lovers can catch “Staircase Tales / Paper Theater” on July 14 at 16:30 on the BRTK Library steps. On July 20, the Siófok Boat Station (Hajóállomás) becomes a family fair with 17:30–21:00 MariannaArt crafts and games, and 19:00–20:30 Paár Julcsi Hangoló’s Kerekerdő tale concert and dance—free entry.

Lulu Experience Park and outdoor play

Lulu Experience Park keeps the thrills rolling across several date windows with interactive skill and board games, go-karts, a bunny petting area, archery, and a craft workshop. Older visitors can try airsoft target shooting, shuriken throwing, and axe hurling.

On the water: cruises, chill, and party boats

Daily Siófok boat trips run July 6–12 and July 13–19, with extra spice on select nights. The Disco Boat sails July 7, 11, 14, 18, and 21 from the Boat Station. Sunset seekers can board the Evening Chill cruise on July 9 and 16 for a Balaton panorama, mellow beats, and cocktails. Families can climb aboard the Kids’ Boat on July 11 and 18 for pirates, magicians, treasure hunts, and games on deck. On July 17 at 20:00, the BAHART x Plázs Boat Party casts off with Viktória Metzker & Friends for a two-hour sunset rave in the heart of the lake.

City quests and guided walks

All July long, a self-guided outdoor sightseeing adventure game turns Siófok’s landmarks into a puzzle-packed playground. For history and architecture on foot, join “From Fishing Village to Spa Town” on July 10 at 16:00 and “Space, Form, Melody” on July 18 at 13:00. Meet at the Imre Kálmán Memorial House (Kálmán Imre sétány 5). Fee: 1,400 HUF (about 3.80 USD) payable before start; free with a same-day Memorial House ticket.

Open-air theater and big-stage moments

July 9 at 21:00, the Imre Kálmán Open-Air Stage (Jókai Park 5) hosts Fiddler on the Roof (Hegedűs a háztetőn) by the Vörösmarty Theater (Vörösmarty Színház), rain date July 10 at 21:00. July 19 at 19:00, Jókai Park’s Music in the Green (Zene a Zöldben) welcomes Gabriella Berkes and Róbert Rátonyi for a free alfresco concert.

Animals, heritage, and night rides

Szántódpuszta Manor’s “Animal Saturdays” dive into farm life with expert-led tours. July 11 spotlights poultry—chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl. July 18 features the Bird House residents—doves, quails, parrots—and 10:00–13:00 bread baking and tasting at the oven using the original Szántódpuszta recipe. Entry via walking ticket. Cyclists own the night on July 18 with the Night Little Loop (Éjszakai Kiskör) tour: gather at the Siófok Water Tower at sunset (on-site registration 18:00–21:00), depart 21:00 to Szántód, ferry to Tihany’s lookout, then Balatonfüred, Alsóörs pub row, a refresh in Kenese, a moon check in Balatonvilágos, and back to Siófok—register and ride.
