Balatonfüred packs the calendar with festivals, concerts, art and food events, lake cruises, and family programs across multiple venues all summer—and well into autumn. Many tickets are available online. Here’s what’s happening from late June through August 2026, plus a look ahead.

July kicks off with tales, sunsets, and galleries

On July 4 at 18:00, the Huray Villas courtyard turns into a “Fairy-Tale Picnic,” with stories including The Silver-Playing Goat, The Three Little Pigs, and Ilók and Mihók, told by Zsuzsa Magyari—bring a blanket, stretch out, and tuck into homemade cakes and cold lemonade. Also on July 4, the Chill Boat sails at sunset with Balaton panoramas, mellow music, and cocktails, while the Vaszary Gallery opens “Vaszary the Unknown Familiar – New Discoveries in the Hungarian National Gallery’s Painting Collection.” Join the guided “Túrajó Walks – From Tree to Forest,” and catch the 37th Balatonfüred Gospel Days from July 2–4. Movie listings run June 29–July 5, and sightseeing cruises July 3–5.

Opera on screen, salsa on shore

On July 6, the House of Jewish Excellence screens Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde from the Met Opera. New film listings and cruises follow July 6–12. From July 7–13, the Hungarian Summer Salsa Festival heats up Balatonfüred. July 9 brings the Party Boat (disco ship) from the Main Pier and the Jókai–Klebelsberg Memorial Concert in the Anna Grand Hotel ballroom at 20:00: Bach’s G-minor Solo Sonata excerpts, Mozart’s E-minor Sonata, and Brahms’s G-major Sonata with violinist Anikó Áchim-Kovács and Kossuth Prize-winning pianist Endre Hegedűs; actor Pál Oberfrank reads “Jókai’s Memory.” Free entry, first-come, first-served seating. Arács Courtyard Cinema screens the same night.

Klezmer festival, bay swim, and midsummer culture

The 1st International Klezmer Festival lands July 10–12. On July 11, the Allianz Bay Crossing and SUP Challenge takes over the water, with another Chill Boat at sunset. July 16: another Party Boat; Schumann Night features Koppándy Jenő, Detvay M. Marcella, Rudolf András, Tomasz Máté, and Tamás Érdi; Arács Courtyard Cinema returns. July 17 launches Dumafüred 2026 (July 17–26, tickets from $19.70 to $30.10) with Duma Jam—Hadházi László, Kovács András Péter, Litkai Gergely—from $30.10, plus István Dombóvári’s “Deszeretlek” from $20.50. That evening, In Medias Brass plays in the Vaszary Gallery garden. July 22: Duma Swing 3, plus Mogács Dániel and Gábor Hevér’s improv “Ship of Fools.” July 23 brings Janklovics Péter’s “The Wage Obligates,” Aranyosi Péter’s “The Digital Ninja,” and the disco Party Boat. July 24 repeats Duma Jam, adds Kiss Ádám’s “What I Don’t Say!” and launches OperaFüred 2026 with an Opera Gala. Füred Art Week—an open-air art fair—runs July 24–26. July 25 is stacked: the 201st Anna Ball, the Anna Fair, the White Ribbon – Szabolcs Izsák Memorial Regatta, two All Stars comedy sets, Hadházi’s “Dogs,” a children’s cruise with pirates and magicians, and a sunset Chill Boat. From July 27–Aug 2, updated cinema and cruise schedules return. July 28: Légy jó mindhalálig (musical) by Pannon Castle Theatre (Pannon Várszínház) on the outdoor stage (from $23.90). July 30 launches the disco Party Boat and the 58th Raiffeisen Blue Ribbon Grand Prix regatta (through Aug 1). On July 31 at 20:00, Hot Jazz Band with star vocalist Andrea Szulák plays Balaton Leisure Center; also, Zoltán Mága’s “We Just Sit and Play – How Stage Legends Party” hits the Congress Center.
