The beloved Hungarian rock band Ismerős Arcok is back on the road in 2026, stitching together a calendar of festivals, village days, lakeside nights, and a powerful dance-theater production honoring the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution. From Budapest’s Barba Negra to Debrecen’s Campus, from Balatongyörök’s waterfront to Sopron and Kaposvár, the schedule is packed and the causes are meaningful—starting with a charity concert that channels the band’s community spirit into direct support.
June Launch: Budapest Benefit and Summer Nights
June 14, Budapest (Csepel) — “Fegyverek tüzében” at Barba Negra sets the tone with a charity show for the Transcarpathian Hungarian Cultural Association’s Verecke Foundation. Located at 1211 Budapest, District 21 – Csepel, Szállító u. 3, the evening raises funds for residents of Transcarpathia living with severe illnesses or disabilities—people whose lives have grown even tougher under wartime conditions. The foundation prioritizes those facing major surgeries, those who require post-op or ongoing treatment, and those with disabilities. It’s a chance to meet the moment, and the band’s live energy will make the helping feel immediate.
June 20, Nemesócsa — Village Day brings a 9:00 PM open-air set on the outdoor stage. Community, fresh air, and a summer Saturday vibe—classic Ismerős Arcok territory where singalongs meet hometown warmth.

Fall Spotlight: “Otthont! Házat! Hazát!” Tour
Through late fall, Ismerős Arcok anchors a moving dance-theater piece titled Otthont! Házat! Hazát! honoring the 70th anniversary of 1956. The story, threaded with the band’s live music, follows Attila Nyerges’s memories of October ’56 when, as a young boy among the “pesti srácok,” he fought on the front lines of the uprising. Amid chaos, he falls for a revolutionary girl, but his actions put him in danger. Forced to flee the country and leave his love behind, he starts a new life abroad—haunted by the weight of that choice. He risks his freedom to return, hoping to find old friends and his love, only to confront the devastating toll of the revolution. Can he forgive himself? Can there be happiness after choosing life over death?
The narrative unfolds through five dancers, punctuated by moments of spoken word, with Ismerős Arcok performing live—turning memory into motion and music.
