July: Sisi Summer Theater Takes Over
July opens with TALAMBA: Promenade/8 Seasons – Sisi Summer Theater on July 6. On July 7, Magda Szabó’s Abigél brings beloved Hungarian literature to the stage. July 9 hosts the PÉTER SRÁMEK concert, followed by Vajk Szente’s The Chef – Sisi Summer Theater on July 11. The same day, Dona nobis pacem – Grant Us Peace! welcomes the Pueri Cantores Hungary Association’s 1st International Choir Meeting with concerts in the palace.
On July 15, Laurent Baffie’s Nuts shakes up the program, and July 18 features Eric Chappell’s Spanish Flu. July 19 is packed: Ervin Lázár’s The Square-Circle Forest (A négyszögletű kerek erdő) as a children’s play by Scene Műhely; EDDA musical The Circle – Sisi Summer Theater; and Molière’s Tartuffe. July 20 presents Miklós T.–Tibor Kocsák–Zsigmond Móricz: Be Good Until Death (Légy jó mindhalálig) – Sisi Summer Theater and kicks off the palace day camp Castle Adventure (Kastélykaland) (July 20–24). Apostol hits the Sisi stage on July 25, Mamma Mia! lights up the Garden Cinema on July 26, The Meaning of Life – One-Minute Stories in One Hundred Minutes (Az élet értelme – Egypercesek száz percben) follows on July 29, and a promenade theater Romeo and Juliet by Scene Műhely strolls in on July 31.
August: Festival Vibes and Garden Cinema
The Castle Plays Music (Zenél a kastély) Festival runs August 1–9. Brass takes the park on August 3 with Jugendkapelle Nersingen Fahlheim e.V. The promenade Romeo and Juliet returns August 5, 6, and 13. Beauty and the Beast – Garden Cinema enchants on August 9, and “Polish Czardas” (Polski Czardasz) with Emőke Ujj and Ildikó Juhász performs August 16.
Autumn to Winter: Classics and Icons
Molière’s Tartuffe continues on September 6, 13, and 20; plus October 8 and 30. Zsuzsa Koncz headlines September 16. A Film Music Concert arrives November 15, followed by Kati Kovács with band on November 22. On December 13, Scene Műhely revives Ervin Lázár’s family favorite The Square-Circle Forest (A négyszögletű kerek erdő).
